Ring road Lahore southern loop’s construction mode has been changed once more and FWO (Frontier Works Organization) has been given green signal to submit bit for construction. Director general FWO Maj Gen Muhammad Afzal meet chief minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif in which CM was briefed about the project details by the FWO after which it was allowed to bid for 30 Km portion of ring road southern loop.
FWO will construct the 5.8 Km southern loop 1 from Sui Gas to Ferozepur road and 14 Km southern loop 2 from Ferozepur road to Ada Plot Raiwind. FWO also suggested to change the development mode from BT to BTO. It must be kept in mind that earlier National Logistics Cell in collaboration with Habib Construction Services submitted their bid for the construction of SL1 and SL2 on BT modes where construction cost was estimated between 30 to 35 billion rupees but due to lack of solid guarantee it was denied.
